Mike Fauteaux, executive director of Raptors Wild, will close his small education center in downtown Durango at the end of September. Next year, he is looking to relocate to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum or possibly resume his raptor shows at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. A passerby spotted part of a car sticking out of a massive debris pile and reported it to law enforcement Aug. 13. The owner of the vehicle remains missing, and police are unsure why or how the car ended up where it did.
