The K-9 Search & Rescue Team, Inc., of Dolores, recently had the opportunity to assist the New Mexico State Police, San Juan County and the Farmington Police Department in the location of a person missing since late February in the Shiprock, N.M. area. The search team was made up of law enforcement, a N.M. Search & Rescue Incident Commander, Sandia Search Dogs from Albuquerque, and K-9 Search & Rescue Team, Inc. Between on-scene search resources, and using information provided by the Taos Canine Team from the day before, searchers were able to successfully locate the missing individual.
