The Doe Canyon Fire burning southeast of Dove Creek has grown to 540 acres. The wildfire, sparked by lightning June 18, is 8% contained.

A smoke monitoring station has been set up near Dove Creek to measure impacts from the Lake Canyon prescribed burn and Doe Canyon Fire.
