A series of personnel changes is on tap for the Dolores school board Thursday night.
Three resignations, two retirements and three new hires are up for approval at the regular meeting of the Dolores School District RE-4A Board of Education.
One of these resignations is Elementary School Principal Gary Livick, who has held the post since 2015.
Also resigning are high school assistant wrestling coach Josh Galloway and assistant track coach Lance Webster.
The other personnel changes set for consideration include the retirement of elementary music teacher Amy Bean and special education teacher Susan Nietfeld, also at the elementary level.
Board directors also will consider new hires, including Dearle Ricker as a substitute teacher, Tari Rank as a substitute paraeducator and preschool substitute, and Jessica Lykins as middle school assistant track coach.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the professional development room behind the district office at 100 N. Sixth St.
Other news:The board will hear an update on Ski Club.Directors will receive reports on midyear math progress data at both the elementary and secondary levels.Also during the school report portion of the meeting, board members will hear presentations on discipline at the elementary level, at-risk students at the secondary level and a preschool assessment.Directors will discuss their policy regarding voluntary early retirement for staff members, along with an ECHO grant for the preschool.On consent, board members will consider approving bills and financial statements for the period that ended Feb. 28, contract renewals for submitted district supervisors and administrators, a $1,000 donation to Teddy Bear Preschool from Tucker Transportation, the administrative/director salary schedule and a collection of policies.As was previously requested, board members will receive an unofficial curriculum audit report.[email protected]
