In conjunction with the Toss in the Tundra disc golf tournament on Saturday, Jan. 26, Paula Watson will present a talk on wolves and her work at Wolfwood Refuge, a state licensed non-profit refuge protecting wolves and wolf/dogs, at 2 p.m. at the Cortez Public Library. There is no charge but donations would be appreciated. Trinity, a Wolfwood ambassador animal, will be on hand and doesn't mind being petted. The Toss in the Tundra is a disc golf tournament that benefits WolfWood Refuge. The tournament will also take place on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Centennial Park in Cortez - Round 1 of 18 begins at 10 a.m. Those interested in playing can sign up at the big gazebo from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. There is a $25 entry fee or donation of a 20-pound bag of quality dog food, or volunteering for one hour at Wolfwood Refuge.
