Montezuma-Cortez High School's girls basketball team is limping into conference play without having played at home.
The road to Ron Wright Memorial Gym got longer Tuesday night.
M-CHS played tough, but came up short at 3A Bayfield, 49-41.
M-CHS (0-8) will have to wait to see its home court. The Lady Panthers begin 5A/4A Southwestern League play next week and play their first five league games away from home.
M-CHS will, however, conclude its season on a five-game homestand. But it has been a long road traveled this year.
The Lady Panthers play at Fruita Monument and Grand Junction Central next Friday and Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and noon.
