The Cortez chapter of the national weight-loss group Take Off Pounds Sensibly held its installation ceremony on Aug. 3.
The theme for the installation was “The Sound of Chapter Music.” Just as each section of the orchestra creates a special sound that benefits the whole symphony, each TOPS member brings unique qualities and traits to the chapter.
The following officers were installed: Judy Echols, leader; Vera Jean Charlesworth, co-leader; Robyn Story, secretary; and Donna Watkins, treasurer.
Diane Townley was reappointed weight recorder, and Lillian Allen was appointed assistant weight recorder.
The “Most Inspirational Award” went to Echols.
