Denver Botanical Gardens help brighten Heritage Center

Plaza showcases plants made for Southwest Colorado
Locals and visitors learned about the gardens at the Anasazi Heritage Center, 27501 Colorado Highway 184, during a tour Saturday.
The bee balm plant is used by Native American tribes for medicinal purposes and for flavoring food. The Chuska Puma in the Anasazi Heritage Center garden is one of 29 that are part of a public arts program sponsored by the San Juan Mountains Association.
