With the help of a trumpet fanfare, Veryl Goodnight unveiled her largest painting ever, titled “The Morning Jingle,” at her gallery on Saturday. The 32-by-60-inch painting depicts horses coming back to the ranch from the pasture. She also unveiled a new bronze sculpture, “The Bachelor Band,” which depicts three bachelor horses. Goodnight revealed the works at a formal grand opening of her new gallery at 106 Grand Ave. in Mancos.
