Aspen and Glade guard stations inch toward opening
After years of renovations, the Glade Guard Station in the San Juan National Forest will be available for public rentals, likely in 2018.

The Aspen Guard Station, at 9,200 feet in the Mancos Valley, was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps nearly 80 years ago. After years of renovations, the Forest Service plans to open it for public rentals.
