La Plata County Humane Society will host its 16th annual adopt-a-thon from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the shelter, 1111 South Camino del Rio.
The shelter, thrift store & Re-Tail Boutique will be open. The thrift store will hold an assortment of sales through the weekend. All adult animal adoption fees will be reduced; adult cats will be $10 and adult dogs will be $50.
Burgers, brats, vegetarian options and beverages will be available. XROCK 105.3FM, Four Corners Broadcasting KQIQ 101.3 and KRSJ 100.5 will be live and on-site for the event.
