Horse Park Fire near Disappointment Valley scorches 1,240 acres

The Horse Park Fire makes a run Monday in thick timber southwest of Norwood.

The Horse Park Fire has grown to 1,240 acres, up from 1,048 acres on Sunday. It is burning in a remote area on Bureau of Land Management and private land near the Spring Creek Basin wild horse herd near Dissapointment Valley. There are pre-evacuation orders and one road closure. People are advised to stay out of the area.
The Horse Park fire is threatening ranchlands and cabins. No structures have been lost as of Wednesday.
