Four Corners Board of Realtors awards 10 scholarships

Recipients of the Four Corners Board of Realtors Dean Hanson Scholarship were announced Thursday at the Cortez Elks Lodge. From left: Jessica Guynes of Dove Creek High School; Kyra Ann Allen and Trystan Henderson of Montezuma-Cortez High School; Josie Majors and Jasper Breitenbach of Dolores High School; Ashley Cole of Mancos High School; and home-schooled student Bailey Duran. The awards were presented by Four Corners Realty members Carol Click, far left, and Marti Spitzer, far right. Scholarship recipients who weren’t able to attend the ceremony included Dylan Long of Montezuma-Cortez High School, Kamaria Hill of Mancos High School and Corissa Guynes of Dove Creek High School. The $1,000 scholarships are awarded yearly to qualified local high school students.
