Cortez Rec. youth girls basketball league; only
two more days to register
The City of Cortez Parks and Recreation department is now taking registrations for third-through sixth-grade girls youth basketball. The season begins Monday, Nov. 5, and continues until Saturday, Dec. 8. Cost to participate is $20, which includes a T-shirt jersey. Registrations are being taken at the Cortez Recreation Center and will close Friday. Any questions, contact Joye McHenry at 564-4080. The boys season will take place in January, 2013.
4 Corners Rifle & Pistol Club open house
The 4 Corners Rifle and Pistol Club, Pistol League, will be having an open house Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the indoor range at 1545 Lebanon Road. If people have considered shooting in the Winter or Spring BullsEye Pistol Leagues, then this is a chance to ask questions, see images and shoot some of the members pistols. Some league shooters will be on hand to answer questions and to let people shoot league pistols (ammo will be provided). All that will be required is eye and ear protection, and a steady hand. League qualifying will be Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. League shooting will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 3 to 7 p.m. Shooting will be every Wednesday, until March 2013. M-CHS open gym basketball
M-CHS is having basketball open gym (sponsored by M-CHS and Cortez Parks and Recreation) for anyone who wants to play at M-CHS.
