Editor:
I am dismayed that the editor of my local newspaper is telling me who I should vote for. Many local voters look to the media for unbiased information in order to make informed decisions when voting. Why would the Cortez Journal want to sway voters to accept their point of view, rather than to provide information about the candidates and their visions for our community? As a voter, I want to know what the candidates stand for, not what the editor believes they stand for. Unbiased information about the candidates, from the mouths of the candidates, is what is needed, not media endorsements. The media has the responsibility to inform the public, not to tell them what they should do.
