A property tax exemption for the 2018 tax year may be available for qualifying seniors, disabled veterans and surviving spouses of those who have previously qualified.

Those who qualify may be able to receive an exemption of 50 percent of the first $200,000 of their primary residence value. If funding is available, the state will match the amount exempt.

If approved, the exemption will be effective without the need to reapply.

For disabled veterans, applications are available through the Colorado Division of Veterans Affairs and due July 1. For more information, call (303) 284-6077.
