The Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project plans workshops on how to graft and prune fruit trees in Dolores and Hesperus, according to a news release from MORP.
The sessions are at the Dolores Community Center, 400 Riverside Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon on March 17 and at the Old Fort at 19251 Colorado Highway 140 in Hesperus on April 7, from 10 a.m. to noon.
A minimum of 10 participants are required, and a maximum of 20 will be allowed, so participants are encouraged to preregister.
Register by emailing MORP at [email protected] or register and prepay at montezumaorchard.org and include which workshops you plan to attend. Participants may also register at the event on a first-come, first-served basis.
The grafting class is $35 for MORP members and $45 for nonmembers. The pruning class is free to current MORP members and $30 for nonmembers.
You may become a member or renew a membership when paying for a class. If an insufficient number of participants sign up, MORP will refund the fee in full.
