Thank you all so very much who brought a big smile to Braiden Smith and his family, who was full of tears of happiness. This tournament brought family and friends as well as those you didnt know together for a good cause, and turned out to be an awesome tournament. Braiden Smith was able to make the tournament with his family, where they met a lot of respectful teams that made them smile bigger than ever. Braiden had a lot of fun watching the games.
Sponsors for the Braidens All-Nighter were Darrell and Ida Mott, Bill and Linda Wayde, Vickie Larson, T-Box Liquors, Elks, Dolores State Bank, Aspen Wall Wood, Hollywood Bar, Baker Sanitation, L&L Construction, Rival, and Pippos Restaurant. And big thanks to Cortez Journal, Kiss FM 98.8 and its radio crew, The Crow, Cortez City Park and Rec, Karlas Kitchen, Josh Cornett and his umpires for officiating, local Police and Sheriffs Departments, and to all the teams who helped support the tournament and other softball tournament colleagues who helped find teams.
For this, I would like to thank you all so very much for making the magic happen for a 7-year-old little boy and his family. God bless you all and your families, because this would have never have happened without you all and your support that raised $3,200 for Braiden and his family. I plan to continue the Braidens All-Nighter for future summers to raise funds for kids with cancer across the Southwestern Slope. I hope to see and hear from all of you next year, August 23rd and 24th, for the Braidens All-Nighter Softball vs. Cancer Tournament.
Thank you dearly,
Bill McCoy
