A note of thanks to Karen Sheek, Phillip Johnson and the Cortez city workers.
Two weeks ago, we visited Mayor Sheek regarding a problem with the entrance from Empire Street to Brookside Drive; the problem was a very rough spot in the street making it very uncomfortable to turn into that entrance.
After speaking to Mayor Sheek, she assured us that she would address this problem at the city council meeting that evening.
Phillip Johnson called our home leaving a message the next day, assuring the problem would be taken care of, and before the end of the week, the entrance was smooth and easy to enter.
