Ute Mountain Ute film earns Los Angeles awards

Youth actors address problems of substance abuse head on
Ute Mountain Ute actors and film crew attended the LA Skins Film Festival in November. Their short film “The Strength of Siblings” won the Community Leadership Film Award. In June, Ute Mountain Ute actors and crew of the film “Strength of Siblings” attended the Garifuna International Indigenous Film Festival in Venice, California. Their film won the Best Short Film Award.
