The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado has awarded Brian Rose, a commercial lender and senior vice president with Alpine Bank, with its Lender of the Year Award.
Rose, who started his career in commercial lending 15 years ago moved to Southwest Colorado in 2011 with his family, according to a news release from Region 9 on Tuesday.
“Brian was selected due to his professionalism and bank participations with Region 9 which helps small businesses receive access to the funding they need,” said Laura Lewis Marchino, executive director of Region 9. “Brian thinks out of the box to make sure he can help as many businesses as possible.”
The award criteria was established by Region 9’s Loan Committee, which includes 12 members – two from each of the Region 9 counties and 2 at large. The award criteria looks at number of referrals, professionalism of the lender, and the community impact resulting from assisting area businesses. Previous winners include Tom White, retired from Bank of the San Juans.
