The second annual Agriculture Outlook, Strategies and Economic Summit has been scheduled for Jan. 16 at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds.
The free event runs 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes lunch. RSVP to [email protected] by Tuesday, Jan. 9.
The event is facilitated by the Colorado State University Extension and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Presentations and Q&A sessions include Steve Trudeau, who will speak about results from the alfalfa variety trial. Jenny Beiermann will speak about marketing hedges, and Cameron Barr will speak about insurance packages. Norm Dalsted will offer a presentation about economic forecasts and enterprise budgets. Farm Service Agency updates also will be available.
