The Sunflower Theatre on Wednesday added a second performance of “A Christmas Carol” at for Saturday, Dec. 2 at 1 p.m.
The 3 p.m. performance by the Hampstead Stage Company has been filled to capacity.
Charles Dickens’ tale follows the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and his clerk, Bob Cratchit, during a particularly difficult Christmas. Through visits from three spirits, Scrooge learns to help his fellow man and become a better person.
The play is free, courtesy of the Cortez Public Library and The Sunflower Theatre, 8 E. Main St.

The library will collect donations of disposable diapers on behalf of The Piñon Project for local families in need.
