Editor:
Can someone in Montezuma County please tell me why we are not charging these nitwits who are having an outside fire at this time of year with a fire ban in effect? We had someone have an outside fire last night and the fire district had to respond.
These people who have little or no respect for where they live and are having a fire outside should be fined. The revenue could go toward helping our firemen and women who risk their lives to help us.
