5:34 p.m.: A woman at a residence in the 35400 block of County Road P.4 was cited for possessing an uncontrolled dog after a man complained that three dogs had clawed at his car door. He estimated $250 in damage, but said his insurance would cover it.
6:43 p.m.: A woman driving a U-Haul truck in the 16000 block of Colorado Highway 145 was warned about driving outside of her lane. Her friend, driving a car behind her, was cited a suspended Colorado driver’s license and Arizona license plate.
12:18 a.m.: A deputy assisted a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer who was conducting a K-9 search of a vehicle near the intersection of U.S. Highways 491 and 160 in Towaoc. According to the deputy, the vehicle search produced cannisters containing about 64 grams of marijuana resin, even though individual stores may sell only 8 grams to a buyer. Because of suspicion that the two men were involved in smuggling Colorado marijuana into Arizona, and the seizure occurred inside federal jurisdiction, the items were collected by the BIA officer for federal investigation.
Wednesday, Oct. 11
8:58 a.m.: A man was arrested at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., after turning himself in on a warrant for failing to comply with a court order.
10:28 a.m.: A deputy responding to a call about a wounded deer in the 11100 County Road 25 shot and killed it with a single bullet.
3:03 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 858 N. Park St., for failing to appear.
Thursday, Oct. 12
1:50 p.m.: A woman reported that her Colt Mustang .380 semi-automatic handgun had been stolen from her car.
6:47 p.m.: A red Oldsmobile Cutlass bearing invalid temporary license plates was towed in the 3000 block of County Road 21.
8:41 p.m.: A woman was given a verbal warning for driving with an unlit headlight in the 18000 block of Colorado Highway 145, and cited for driving while her license was under restraint, due to an unpaid ticket.
Friday, Oct. 13
4:08 p.m.: A female inmate at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for a local misdemeanor.
4:08 p.m.: A woman was served a warrant for failing to comply, at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.
10:52 p.m.: A deputy located a juvenile, described as autistic, who was missing from his home in southeast Montezuma County.
Sunday, Oct. 15
1:55 p.m.: A man was pulled over in the 2000 block of U.S. Highway 160 for a missing front registration tag and arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court for a traffic case.
5:39 p.m.: A man at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for failing to appear.
Monday, Oct. 16
11:53 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to comply.
