Looking for a great way to spend your free time this fall?
The Medicine Horse Center needs volunteers for therapeutic riding sessions, helping out as side walkers and leaders for children and adults with special needs.
The center announced in a news release on Tuesday that it plans a volunteer training session on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9:30 a.m. to noon for anyone wishing to participate.
“Horse experience is welcome, but not necessary,” Lynne Howarth, executive director, said. “We’ll teach you everything you need to know.”
“If you love horses, helping people, and spending a few hours a week in the great outdoors, you’ll love volunteering for Medicine Horse Center,” she added.
The Medicine Horse Center is at 40700 Road J in Mancos.
