Those of us who are working to keep Rosa Sabido in our community (Journal, June 30) are working from a principle more powerful and important than the law.
We are working from the principle of justice. Justice is that which is right, honorable and good. The law is a tool that can be used to create justice or injustice which is what some people want in this case.
Rosa has lived in our community for more than twenty years, and she has been honest, productive, and responsible.
She has earned a place in our community to live in peace even though technically she has broken the law.
To those who want her gone I ask, what is it about justice that you find so objectionable?
Also, how do you feel about Mexican immigrants in general?
