The Dolores River Anglers plan to hold their annual business meeting along with a casting clinic on Monday, Sept. 25, at the WildEdge Brewery in Cortez.
Several important by-laws will be discussed and voted upon, along with revisions to the Anglers’ strategic plan, according to the group’s news release.
A special program will follow the business meeting, which will include casting tips and presentation by renowned IFA casting instructor “Bear” Samples, of the Durango Five Rivers TU Chapter. Dolores River Anglers are encouraged to bring their fly rods for one-on-one coaching to improve their casting performance.
The board meeting runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with a meet-and-greet from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and the general membership’s meeting and presentation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. It’s all at the Wild Edge Brewery, 111 N. Market St. in downtown Cortez. Pizza and salad are available for a $5 donation.
