The newly-engaged couple is currently serving in Afghanistan, and will be in Cortez for a visit. Leah Bedker and Rocky Moss will host a Welcome Home Engagement Party for them from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 23 at Empire Electrics Calvin Denton Room. Cassandra is a 2010 graduate of Montezuma-Cortez High School, and the daughter of Leah Bedker and the late Doug Bedker of Cortez. Joseph is the son of Joe and Mary Kane of Atlanta. Cassandra and Joseph plan to be wed on August 10, 2012. The couples home base is in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
