The Southwest Memorial Hospital Foundation is currently accepting applicants for its 2012 healthcare career scholarships. Annual recipients are selected based on their qualifications and availability of funding. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $600 each.
To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have chosen healthcare as a career, finished prerequisites for the Fall school year by June 1, 2012, maintained satisfactory progress in school work, and be a resident of Montezuma or Dolores Counties.
Applications and instructions for completion are available at the front desk at Southwest Memorial Hospital, the Foundation office, and at local high school guidance offices. The application can also be downloaded from the hospital website (www.swhealth.org). Applications must be postmarked by April 13. Contact Susan Thomas at 564-2156 for more information.
