Here is what you can expect on the project this week on the repaving project on U.S. Highway 491:
Monday through Friday: The first mat, or layer, of paving is underway on the five-lane section of U.S. Highway 491 between Lebanon Road and County Road M. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., drivers can expect traffic shifts and slowing, with a single lane in each direction being maintained during work hours. There will be occasional traffic stops for equipment or traffic control transitions.
All business access will remain open but access may be temporarily altered. Please note, once after the first asphalt overlay, a second layer will be applied. The section north of County Road M also will get a top mat of asphalt as well.
