The Dove Creek girls basketball team had its season come to an end Friday in Olathe at the 1A District I semifinals.
After dispatching Plateau Valley (4-14) Thursday, 42-27, the Lady Bulldogs (13-8) met Vail Christian with a spot at regionals on the line.
In a tightly contested game, the Saints (12-10) pulled away in the fourth after leading by just one to start the final frame, to post a 36-30 win over Dove Creek.
Senior Zoey Young led the Lady bulldogs with 15 points.
Sophomore Madison Young scored a team high 12 points in the win over Plateau Valley.
