An arroyo and small stream flood advisory remains in effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday for northwestern Dolores, northwestern San Miguel and northwestern Montezuma counties.
Heavy rain due to thunderstorms passed over the area earlier this evening, according to the National Weather Service, and local law enforcement officers reported water running across Colorado Highway 141 north of Dove Creek.
Arroyo and small stream flooding will continue over the advisory area because of the rain.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Dove Creek, Slick Rock, Cahone and Egnar. This includes U.S. Highway 491 in between mile markers 48 and 68 and Colorado 141 between mile markers 1 and 34.
