Montezuma-Cortez High School Guidance Department & Career Center invites parents of 8th through 11th graders to attend the Monday, March 5 event: Planning for High School ... And Beyond! The event will be held in the Auxiliary Gym at the high school from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Colorado State Universitys Director of University Partnerships and Student Success, Patricia Vigil, along with Fort Lewis College Admission Counselor, Rachel Shockley and Southwest Colorado Community College Coordinator of Concurrent Enrollment, Shanna Sasser will speak with parents about the many options available to their students and the importance of planning. Cindy Bonitz-Ryan, Postsecondary Options Counselor at Montezuma-Cortez High School will share the steps that students can take to increase the college, scholarship and career opportunities available to them. Breakout sessions will follow. Based on their students grade level, parents will be able to choose up to three breakout sessions to attend.
