Cobra Wrestling parent night
Please join the Cortez Cobra Wrestling Program Board on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. The board will host a mandatory parent night, for those who have children already registered, at the Auxiliary Gym in Cortez Middle School. There will also be paperwork available, if parents would like to register their child that night. Cobra Wrestling is for children born between 1998-2007. Chili Knocker Softball Rendezvous
Knocker Athletic Club is hosting the Chili Knocker Softball Rendezvous at the Fort Lewis College Softball Fields in Durango on the weekend of Feb. 18-19. Coed brackets are offered with each team playing a minimum of three games. Balls and bats are provided; players can swing their own bats. Tourney entry fee is $200. First-place team will be awarded champion Dri-Fit shirts and the second-place team will receive runner-up T-shirts. Entry deadline is Thursday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m. To register your team, call Charles See at 560-3423.
Southwest Colorado Youth Baseball registration
Registrations are being taken for 2012 Southwest Colorado Youth Baseball and it continues through Sunday, March 4. Registration forms can be found at www.cortezbaseball.org, To The Penny Tax Service, Hibbet Sports and the Cortez Recreation Center. All completed packets need to be turned it at To The Penny Tax Service, located at 33 South Market Street. Late registration begins Monday, March 5. Southwest Softball sign-ups
Southwest Softball is now accepting registrations for the summer Youth Softball League season. Registration forms are available at the Cortez Recreation Center, Lonnies Glass and Tullis Chiropractic. Fees are $25 for T-ball and $50 prior to the Wednesday, March 7, early registration deadline for all other age groups. A late fee of $10 will be added after that date.
