Leadership Montezuma participants recently explored various cultural aspects that help define living in Montezuma County on Thursday, Jan. 19. Their day started at Crow Canyon Archeological Center, where they met Deborah Gangloff, President and CEO. While at Crow Canyon, they learned about ancestral Pueblo history, toured the Centers lab, and heard about the Centers collaborations with American Indians. Afterwards, the group went to Notah Dineh to expand upon relationships of traders and trading posts, then to a brief agricultural overview from the 4-H Extension Office and Future Farmers of America (FFA) and a tour of the Cortez Cultural Center. Finally, they met with local artists and had a brief introduction to alternative health and yoga.
