Thanks to Vince Young (Journal, June 12) for reaffirming my suspicion that we have an enclave of ignorant white conservatives in our corner of Southwest Colorado who helped elect Trump.
He is not making America great, but hate again! If he doesn’t fade quietly away, for sure this country will end up in a white Christian hell in a hand basket.
It’s no wonder we have disproportionately more natives in jail due to continuous profiling by local law enforcers. The discrimination is made so obvious by using Rocky Mountain Offender Management Systems (don’t be fooled by the acronym that rhymes with “our moms”), the for-profit probation business that is, unfortunately, more interested in thriving off of an impoverished population rather than rehabilitation.
This, to many of us, is the same as private for-profit prisons in America the beautiful.
