The Montezuma County Sheriffs Office and Montezuma County Coroner are investigating the circumstances surrounding a mans body discovered by hikers Saturday. The mans death is being investigated as a homicide.
The man was identified as 27-year-old Johnathan D. Hayes of Dolores.
Individuals with information are encouraged to call Lt. Ted Meador at 565-8452 ext. 320.
No other information was released.
Although the Sheriffs Office press release didnt indicate where the body was discovered, news tips to the Journal say that Hayes was found in Dolores.
