Ashley L. Tevault recently received the Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship in the amount of $26,000.
Tevault is sponsored by the Cortez Rotary Club. Prior to receiving this award, she was a student at Colorado State University. She graduated from CSU summa cum laude in May 2010 with a bachelors of science degree in business administration. Her concentrations during this time were in marketing and management. In addition to her studies, Tevault was part of Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed professional business fraternity. As a member, she served on the executive board as vice president of fundraising for one academic year. This organization is heavily involved in the local business community in Fort Collins. As an honors student at CSU, Ashley completed her senior honors thesis on the effects of sustainability in the services sector.
Tevault will begin her studies at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom in September. She will be earning her masters of science degree in international business management. She hopes to return to the States to earn her Ph.D. in international relations or a similar field. As far as career plans, she hopes to serve in the Peace Corps and possibly work for the United Nations or U.S. Department of State.
Tevault graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School in the spring of 2006.
