A Cortez student, Brandon Blakeley, has earned a BS degree in Engineering at Baylor University. Blakeley was among more than 700 graduates that Baylor conferred degrees on during fall commencement exercises held Saturday, Dec. 17 in the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus. Baylors nationally recognized academic divisions offer 151 baccalaureate degrees, 76 masters degrees, a juris doctor, 29 doctoral degree programs and two education specialist degrees through 11 academic units, according to a written release from the university.
Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas, Baylor is a private Baptist university classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as a research university with high research activity.
