Storytime Christmas project

Storytime Christmas project

The Cortez Public Library would like to thank and recognize the children of Storytime. The children (and their parents) worked for three consecutive Fridays constructing ornaments for their yearly service project. The ornaments were placed on two Christmas trees that were donated to area families who wouldn’t have had a tree otherwise. Thanks also to Bonnie Tibbits and Rena Chiquito of the Pinon Project, and Brittany Conner and the Beech Street Kindergarten students, and Maryann Miera and the students of Butler Child Development Center. The students constructed Christmas ornaments and donated them to the project as well. Pictured from left to right are, front row, seated: Gracie Coker, Sam Morey, Skylar Sherman, Jonah Sherman, Liam Sherman, Macie McDonald and Baya Brock; second row: Rebecca Spoonemore, Auryan Milligan, Alyssa Doker, Leo Morey, Jaris McDonald, Broadie Brock and Sawyer Hale; and third row: Brittany Conner, Dani Owens and Caroline Godgoff.
