The Dove Creek Bulldogs got their first win of the year over Ignacio, 6-4, at home on Tuesday afternoon.
Dove Creek (1-8, 1-0 1A SJBL) scored four runs in the first-inning en route to victory. Dalton Randolph pitched a complete game with five strike outs, no walks and gave up no earned runs. Jeff Sparks was 2-for-2 at the plate.
Our pitcher went all seven innings. He never walked a man, no pass balls. They hit a little better. We still didnt field real good, but their mental game was better. All four runs were due to errors. I think the biggest thing was Dalton Randolph pitching, Dove Creek coach Ken Soper said.
