In this season of thankfulness and giving, For Pets Sake Humane Society would like to sincerely thank the Friends of Aspen Animal Shelter, located in Aspen, Colo. They have generously sponsored a free spay/neuter program for our local cats and dogs since spring of this year, which has resulted in over 500 pets being altered. This will dramatically help to reduce pet overpopulation in our rural area and reduce euthanasia at our local animal shelter. We would especially like to thank Anne Gurchick, Adam Goldsmith, Linda Koones and Scott Dolginow, DVM, for their recent trip from Aspen to Cortez, bringing along pet food to be distributed to local pets in need and assessing this program and continuing its support. We also want to thank all our local veterinary clinics which participate in this tremendous program! As an all-volunteer organization, For Pets Sake recognizes that without the support of its members and communities we serve, nothing would happen. We want to thank the Aspen community for supporting FAAS! We gratefully thank the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter and the community of Aspen for their kindness and generosity in our communities!
