Ute Mountain Utes concerned about health impacts from White Mesa
Carrying Ute Mountain Ute flags and antinuclear banners, protesters marched 3 miles from the reservation community of White Mesa to the uranium mill, owned by Energy Fuels, of Canada.
About 80 protesters gathered before a march to the White Mesa uranium mill in southeast Utah.
Fox Rodriguez, of Littleton, Colorado, said she is studying the health impacts of radiation, and holds up a sign listing diseases due to exposure.
