Dave Mortensen, RPh, Pharmacy Director at Southwest Memorial Hospital earned a Peak Performers award at the 9th Annual Rocky Mountain Hospital Medicine Symposium on October 7. This honor, bestowed annually, recognizes clinical excellence among physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers. Mortensen was the only healthcare professional on the Western Slope to earn the designation this year. The award is earned based on votes cast by peers and colleagues who determine that candidates embody the characteristics of team-based care, professionalism, and clinical excellence.
Mortensen has been with Southwest Memorial Hospital for 26 years.
