Company spilled toxic sludge on U.S. 191 south of Blanding
A load of sludge from a Wyoming uranium mine is dumped at its destination at the White Mesa Mill in March.
Radioactive waste leaked out of this containment truck while en route to the White Mesa Mill. The company that shipped it, Cameco Resources, was inspected by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and many violations were reported.

Nuclear Regulatory staff will meet with officials from Cameco Resources on May 4 to discuss the inspection.
The meeting, at 7 a.m. Mountain, takes place at the NRC’s Arlington, Texas, office and is open to the public. NRC officials will take questions from the public.
