10:47 a.m.: A male juvenile was issued a summons at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., on suspicion of criminal mischief in the 16000 block of County Road 25. A man claimed the juvenile had spray-painted some of his farm equipment, and that this was the latest in a pattern of criminal mischief he’d experienced.
3:35 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 10000 block of County Road 25 on a warrant for shoplifting.
Sunday, April 16
11:54 a.m.: A man was served with two warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
Monday, April 17
4:42 p.m.: A man reported a possible identity theft in the 25000 block of County Road T.5, saying he believed someone was using the name of a charity he operated to steal money. Deputies requested the case be closed due to a lack of leads.
Tuesday, April 18
11:10 p.m.: Deputies responded to a call for a civil stand-by at Best Western, 535 E. Main St. A woman said she wanted to get some of her belongings from a man who had a restraining order from her, but deputies were unable to contact him and the standby did not take place.
Wednesday, April 19
4:16 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on an active warrant out of Arizona.
Thursday, April 20
12:07 a.m.: A woman was arrested near the intersection of County Road S and U.S. Highway 491 on suspicion of DUI after deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle car accident. The woman had driven into a ditch, reportedly while arguing with her husband on a cell phone, but was not injured.
Friday, April 21
5:41 a.m.: A man turned himself in to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on two warrants for failure to appear.
12:03 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 25000 block of County Road G on a warrant.
Saturday, April 22
1:47 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 8000 block of County Road 27 on suspicion of driving with a denied license after he was pulled over for speeding 50 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Monday, April 24
11:47 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the 21000 block of County Road G. A man was holding his son down because he claimed the juvenile had tried to run away and had showed suicidal tendencies in the past. A woman in the house also said she had thrown the juvenile to the ground to prevent him from leaving, causing him to lose his breath for a moment. The juvenile had bitten his father’s hand while he was holding him down. The juvenile was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital, where mental health staff said he did not appear to be a danger to himself or others and released him back to his parents.
