10:31 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 400 block of North State Street on suspicion of violating a protection order after some high school students reported she was bothering them.
11:15 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of Piñon Drive on suspicion of DUI, driving without a seat belt, driving passengers without a seat belt, weaving and child abuse. He was pulled over for crossing the line between the north- and southbound lanes on Broadway after leaving a nearby restaurant, where a waitress warned police she believed he was driving while intoxicated with a young child in the car. A 4-year-old was riding in the vehicle, along with two other adults who also appeared intoxicated.
11:49 a.m.: A woman was issued a summons for an open container violation and possession of alcohol in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.
1:59 p.m.: A man was issued two summonses within two hours for open container violations and possession of alcohol in City Park, 802 E. Main St.
4:16 p.m.: A man was arrested at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting and on a warrant for failure to appear. A woman and a juvenile who were with him also received summonses for shoplifting. Store employees claimed they had stolen a purse, several food items, band-aids and cosmetics.
7:24 p.m.: Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 600 block of South Washington Street. Two windows on a residence were broken, causing about $30 of damage each. The case remains under investigation.
10:42 p.m.: A woman was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating a protection order and possession of alcohol in a park.
Thursday, April 20
8:15 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 300 block of West Second Street on a warrant for failure to appear.
1:22 p.m.: A bondswoman reported the theft of a court-issued secure continuous remote alcohol monitoring bracelet, valued at $1,575, from the 20 block of North Madison Street. The case remains under investigation.
2:42 p.m.: A juvenile was issued a summons on suspicion of shoplifting at Audio Box, 23 N. Maple St. Employees claimed he had stolen a remote control car battery valued at $50 and some LED lights valued at $24.99 total.
2:44 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1100 block of East Main Street on a warrant and on suspicion of driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender.
3:23 p.m.: A man was arrested at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting and trespassing. Store employees claimed he had tried to steal food items, a helmet, a package of peroxide and deodorant, valued at $35.36 total. An unused syringe was also found in his pocket.
8:43 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of disturbing the peace and interfering with an officer after witnesses reported she was having a loud argument with her boyfriend and she refused to leave the area when ordered by police.
Friday, April 21
10:14 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a warrant for failure to appear.
3:41 p.m.: A man reported the theft of a revolver, valued at $460, from his vehicle in the 200 block of East Second Street. The case remains under investigation.
5:13 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of North Mildred Road on two warrant for failure to appear after witnesses reported he was intoxicated and was asking children for cigarettes.
8:56 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons on suspicion of shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St. Store employees claimed she had stolen a pair of socks, mascara, a battery charger, ear buds, a Bluetooth speaker, scented oils, knife blades and other miscellaneous makeup items, valued at $275.88. The woman reportedly said she stole the items “for the thrill of it.”
9:31 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 1700 block of East Main Street on a warrant for failure to appear.
