9:30 p.m.: A woman reported she had been assaulted in the 24000 block of County Road G. When deputies responded, she was bleeding from the face and her clothes appeared disheveled. But she was unable to give any details about who had assaulted her and kept changing her story. She was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
Tuesday, April 18
2:06 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of U.S. Highway 160. A man had reportedly cut himself on his arms and legs, and according to family members, had consumed a large amount of Pinesol and bleach. The man later said he had not drunk either substance, but he had consumed some motor oil and was severely depressed. Deputies transported him to Southwest Memorial Hospital, and then to Crossroads Detox Center in Durango.
8:57 a.m.: A man reported a dog was damaging his irrigation pipes in the 17000 block of County Road 22, but he did not want to press charges.
1:49 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 16000 block of County Road 26 on suspicion of a dog at large offense and unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog after a neighbor reported the man’s two pit bulls had killed three of his pigs, valued at $600 total. The neighbor said he had shot and killed one of the dogs when he saw them attacking his pigs.
