On July 22 the Bridge Emergency Shelter had a new and very successful fundraiser A Night Out. Thirty-seven restaurants and coffee shops in Cortez, Dolores, and Mancos participated by donating some portion of their proceeds to the shelter. In addition, five local banks donated money to help match donations by restaurants. They included First National Bank, Dolores State Bank, Citizens State Bank, First Southwest Bank, and Vectra Bank. This event was planned with an enthusiastic fundraising committee that included Ami Fair, Angel Hubbard, Becky Brunk, Joanie Howland, Pat Kantor, Johnny Mosher, Caleb Parson, and Elaine Bridges.

Participating Cortez businesses included Angels End Zone, Antonios, Blondies Pub and Grub, Dennys, Burger Boy Drive-In, Dry Dock, El Grande, Hunans, J Fargos Bar and Grill, Kokos, Let it Grow, Mancos Pizza Too, Mr. Happys Bakery and Café, Neros, Ocean Pearl, Once Upon a Sandwich, Pepperhead, Pizza Hut, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, San Juan Coffee Company, Seasnings Catering, Shilohs Steakhouse, Silver Bean, Spruce Tree Coffee House, Stonefish Sushi and More, Tequilas, and The Farm. Thanks to all those folks who went out to eat that day on behalf of the Bridge. Some groups got together and figured out where they would eat morning, noon, and night! It was a good event and raised funds that will help us get our new season off to a good start.
Thanks to everyone!
